Are your online leads falling flat on their face? We’ve gotta fix that!
Leads are KING (or Queen!) when it comes to the success of your business for many reasons, but here’s an important one: attracting, nurturing and sustaining your leads enables your business to create a big splash in your industry and even BIGGER waves when it comes to your online traffic.
We’d like to walk through some of our favourite processes to gaining rock-solid leads, all the time. Step into our virtual office and get cozy. We’re jumping in together to tune up your leads process today!
You know what sucks?
When you go to social profiles or a website and click on a link to see more information… only to be given a domain expiry message!
Our team has been noticing a serious amount of broken links in social media profiles or sites that we’ve been visiting. Site Improve gathered some numbers, and out of 135 US Fortune 100 Company websites, 131 of them had at least one broken link. 117 had five or more broken links!
Here are the tasks that we suggest you do monthly to make sure this problem isn’t happening to you:
If your business wants leads, you need to ensure that entry points for a conversation to occur actually work! So go and tune up those links to sit back and watch the conversion magic happen.
It doesn’t matter which industry you’re in if you want to generate leads online without feeling icky on the SELLING front, content is the way to go.
Good content marketing is all about sharing education on what you do for the people you serve. Your FIRST intent shouldn’t be to sell your heart out on your product or offering, but instead… to create value, trust and authority around your voice and your business! This is simply a way of generating leads like magic, instead of just selling your pitch 24/7… you know, like all your competitors are doing.
I’ll give you an example:
Let’s assume you are a business that sells products. For this example, we can say that your product is a yoga mat. If you write a lengthy blog about why your yoga mats are better than everyone else’s, it’s really just another big product push online. Been there, done that.
Instead, if you write a blog post on the health benefits of Yin vs. Kundalini practices and break down which practice may be best for varying health conditions, now you’re educating your customers!
You’ve just provided answers to a question that your audience really wants to know, like… “If I’m pregnant, is hot yoga safe for me?” Your content could be JUST the thing they’ve been looking online for.
Problem solved.
Sharing knowledge on how to do something (aka educating!), thinking like your audience to answer key questions and offering up advice to solve a problem will put you in the minds of consumers as a person of authority.
There are PLENTY more methods to get your content out to the world.
Here are a few more content delivery options to think about implementing (Your Designer Ash-approved!):
The easiest way to get certified leads in your sleep is through the power of referrals. And probably the most beneficial way to get your own referrals rolling is this: give them out yourself!
You may be the only team member in your business right now, but you don’t have to go it alone! Do you have a few people you follow on Insta in the same industry as you? Reach out to them to set up a referral group chat! Or hey, just use it to chat out biz life with them. Chances are, they are going through the same struggles you are right now, or they may be looking for someone who just GETS IT to share their wins with!
If you haven’t done so already, start building up your “bank” of businesses you can easily refer to and trust! Utilize Instagram’s collections feature to bookmark/save posts by other businesses to create a collection of accounts that you can lean on in the future.
Having this collaborative, teamwork mindset lifts up other businesses in your niche, and allows you to hand off referrals and inquiries to each other when you are booked up or know of someone just right for the job.
